The WPAHS Bariatric Surgery Center is composed of specially trained physicians, certified physician assistants, CRNPs and RNs, psychologists and dietitians. The team works together to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive care available.

The certified physician assistants directly work with the Center's physicians to offer the highest level of support and care to bariatric surgery patients.

Dietary Support
Dietary support for bariatric surgery patients is provided by certified dietitians. The Center's dietitians assist patients with their lifestyle changes before and after surgery. This additional support helps patients achieve more successful long-term weight loss.

Psychological Assistance
Bariatric surgery is a life-altering experience that can be difficult not only physically, but emotionally, as well. Our psychologists provide psychological services to patients of the West Penn Bariatric Surgery Center.
